New York Motorcycle Show

Sunday, January 22, 2012. A new month, a new year. A bunch of new, bad ass motorcycles at the Progressive Motorcycle Show. We took the train into New York City from Princeton.
The train is the only way to go, really.
So.. without further ado...
Here are some pictures from The Big Apple and the Motorcycle Show.

You can find all of the pictures on my Flickr Page

The crowd was great. I kept forgetting I was in New York and was a little confused at all the Giants jerseys. Fortunately for myself I kept my thoughts to myself.
The train station was interesting. There were a couple guys singing and playing acoustic guitar. I threw a few bucks in the case in front of them. They sounded good. :) I wanted to take their pictures, but my camera battery died. >:(
There was a dude there with at least seventy face piercings. I totally had juice in my camera to get his picture, but my boyfriend felt uncomfortable about me taking his picture. I don't think he'd have minded. I mean, all those face piercings.. if not for attention, then for what?

It was a good time. We went last year too, and will probably make it a yearly thing now. Do you go to shows? Motorcycle? Boat? Car? Gun? Some other kind of shows?

Thanks for stopping by...

  1. Looks like you had fun motorcycle browsing. Do you own and ride one? I'm too much a chicken to even sit on one.

  3. Those are some awesome photos! Three years ago I really wanted to buy myself a Harley Davidson and my husband said to just wait a few weeks, do some research and we'll do some shopping. He knows me, I'm a compulsive person, when I see something I want, I have to have it right then. His psychology worked, I was too lazy to research it and we never discussed it again. :D

    1. Aww... well, I am glad you made the right choice for yourself. :)
I've done some compulsive things in my time. :)

Thank you so much for stopping by and sharing your story, Diane.

  4. Darlene, your post reminded me of outings with my husband. He loves to take pictures of eccentric people, and boldly asks them if he can while I hide behind him. Good for you! I enjoyed reading about your New York adventure.

  5. I do love motorcycle shows. Seeing lots of amazing motorcycles - some vintage, some customized, some completely new design concepts – it’s just a different experience, and a unique one at that. I think it’s great that you got the chance to see those bikes. Do you own a motorcycle? What kind?

  6. How could I miss that New York Motorcycle Show? Anyway, there’s always another chance and I’ll make it sure that I’ll be there next time. I hope you’ll bring an extra battery or charge your camera the next time you’ll go to a show like this so that you can capture more amazing pictures! Good luck!

  7. “We went last year too, and will probably make it a yearly thing now.”--- My family was really not into bikes before, but after going to a motorcycle show with our grandpa, it became one of our greatest family bonding moments since then. Well, not only bikes, but cars as well. It’s really fun! :D
